This place is so damn good. We ordered the Detroit style 313 pizza and it blew us away. The crust is perfect, crisp and buttery goodness. The dough is fluffy, the sauce is so flavorful and distinct. Pepperoni is great quality. We also got the cheese bread which was a 10/10 as well. We definitely recommend this place.

I was craving deep dish pizza and stumbled upon this place on yelp. Wow did it hit the craving! The employees were kind and welcoming and took the time to explain the menu to us (even though it's straight forward we still had questions) the atmosphere is rad with good music and art. Everything super clean and food came out quickly. Will def be returning!

We tried the large size Detroit Style 313 and it easily fed our family of two adults and two little ones. But honestly, it was so good that I wish I would have ordered two larges! The crust is airy like focaccia bread. The cupping peps were not too spicy which was ideal for our group. The ingredients tasted of good quality. So, so delicious! We will definitely be back when we are in Watsonville area.

First off, the staff there is always super nice. I've gone there more times than I can count, and I've never had a bad experience. One time, my mom and dad went there, and they each got a slice and were showing interest in other types to so they gave them a free slice. It probably helped that my parents are cute old people, but still, that's how you get loyal customers. Their Detroit style is what helps them stand out among all the great pizza in the area. Their regular pies are great too, but the Detroit is what made me go there in the first place. As of March 2024, they do smash burgers on Thursday nights, and those are great. Nice and crispy patties. Slice Project has a small menu, but that goes in their favor. They've perfected what they do. My only wish is that they'd have one more type of burger. I've had both the classic and Ronald's Dead, and they were both delicious, but I wish there was one more burger that stood out a bit more. Maybe mushroom and Swiss or a bacon burger with a fried egg. Just one more. But even if they change nothing and keep going in this direction, I'll always return.

Store is located on the corner and not much parking to be had during the lunch rush so had park down the street and around three corner. There was a line and most seats were filled (good sign). Not an intimate place for a date, but a good place to go during lunch or after a movie. They do sell beer. The restroom is clean and they have 1 high chair. As for the pizza. It was great! I lived in NYC for 5 years and also Connecticut and I consider myself a pizza snob. The crust was light and airy with that char & crisp that you want. The sauce had that perfect blend of acidity, richness and the taste of tomato. The mozzarella was wonderful. I was transported. Easily the best plain slice I've had on the central coast. It's a 30 minute drive from Monterey, but worth it. Definitely coming back. Price: $10.60 (includes a $1 tip)

If you've ever had A Slice of NY in San Jose or Sunnyvale, or Slice House by Tony Gemignani, then you'll LOVE Slice Project's NY-style pizza. The Lil Pep is the epitome of pepperoni and the Supreme is LOADED with super fresh ingredients. We got it to-go and it was piping hot. We haven't tried their square pies yet and CAN'T WAIT to try their smashed burgers (only on Tuesdays).

I highly recommend this place! We were in town and we're looking for a place to eat. This place came up and decided to give it a try. We got the 313 and the red top Detroit style. Ya'll, it was so good! They also sell Mike's Hot Honey, get yourself a packet and slap some of that on your pizza and your taste buds will be hollering. I'm surprised this place was packed, due to how delicious it was. The service was really good, but the reason for a 4 star is the place was lacking a bit. But the food was literally a 5/5.
